The colloquialism goes, “If you like it, I love it.”, which typically means the opposite. An election normally has winners and losers. We’ve all lost. My heart was broken reading the results. This man y’all voted for is a real-life troll. Most of the time, we brush these election losses off as fodder but after Roe v. Wade was overturned, there’s no looking away. We are losing as a country, and the entire world is watching us fail ourselves in real time. In America the idiots are taking over.

I wholeheartedly believe we are being ushered into a new age of dumb where ASMR streamers that pop kernels of corn on flat irons are winning awards and active reading is corny. Where the maximalist scurry into their Tesla to escape the growing houseless crowds. Where school libraries are being replaced with tiny detention centers to keep children obedient and reluctant to ask questions. This election wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about maintaining democracy. Do you feel good about the future of the U.S.A. now? Honestly?

P.S. I apologize for the late post, but this election had me fucked up. So fucked up in fact, I’ve been more of a hermit than usual. Now that I’ve gone through all of the stages of grief, it’s time to plan and mobilize. If y’all chose a lying pedophile as the President of our country, you can have him and it. I’ll be making other choices.
