It’s unusually cold outside right now in west central Florida and we’re outside of our element. In north Florida, it’s snowing which has shut down stretches of highway. This weather is proof the world is changing whether we choose to accept it or not. Kinda like life. It goes on regardless of what happens in our little world. Remembering that life continues is what’s motivating me to type this right now. We keep moving forward. Change is important for progress even if we choose to stay comfortable. Change will continue to happen even if we don’t go outside. Change is inevitable. Progress is not.
The reason we’re having this fireside chat is because I want more progress in my life. Being consistent is key to maintaining momentum. I’m writing this to encourage you today to remain consistent. Please don’t freeze when it’s time to execute. Yes, it’s cold and frigid and movement isn’t fun, but you have to keep the wheels turning. I understand being still feels comfortable and cozy. The heaters, chili and fuzzy socks are warm and inviting but progress isn’t in your comfort. Your dream life will incorporate those elements in the future, but you have to build it. You must be uncomfortable sometimes to reach your full potential. Discomfort is the worst and the work.
This week, I hope despite the freezing weather, you choose to move forward with your dreams. This week, I encourage you to bundle up and move your body. It’s easy to be comfortable folks. It’s not easy to be uncomfortable and follow your destiny. Everyone likes comfort and ease. If you aren’t living the life of your dreams, there’s work to do and some discomfort to feel. You’ll be alright. In fact, your life will be better for it.
P.S. I’m tired af typing this. I wrote this for the both of us. Keep going whoever you are. Don’t lose hope. You’ve got this! I believe in us.
